What can ReadCast read?
PDFs, EPUB ebooks and plain text from your files, any article link, newsletters and blogs with an RSS feed, and a daily shelf of free public-domain books. You can also paste text, or share a link from Safari or any other app.
How do newsletters work?
Search for a newsletter or paste a site's address. ReadCast follows its feed and keeps the latest stories in your library, refreshed whenever you open it. Suggestions start with outlets from your country.
Are the free books really free?
Yes. They come from Project Gutenberg and open-access collections, and they're in the public domain in the United States. Listening to them uses your monthly hours like any other book.
Is it on Android?
Yes. ReadCast is on Google Play for Android and on the App Store for iPhone and iPad.
Why is there a monthly limit?
Each voice is generated by a speech model that costs us per character, so every plan comes with a set number of listening hours. They reset on the 1st of each month.
